A Heber photographer's image of an old-time train car has been picked as one of 10 photos that will inspire a celebrity-directed short film, in a contest overseen by director Ron Howard and sponsored by the camera-maker Canon.
The contest, "Project Imaginat10n," solicitied entries from all over the country and, through consumer votes, 90 images were chosen in nine categories with celebrities enlisted to direct short films based on those categories, and choosing one image to inspire that film. Howard picked another image to serve as the overarching theme for all the short films.
Heber photographer Tim Bauer's image "Nostalgic Light," showing empty seats inside an old-style train car, was picked as one of the 10 images in the category "Time."
The celebrity filmmakers are: Actors Jamie Foxx and Eva Longoria, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, Twitter founder Biz Stone and LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy. Five more directors have yet to be named.
