At this point, Kyler Fackrell's just showing off.
The Freshman linebacker from Utah State is the Western Athletic Conference player of the week for the second straight week.
He did this with 11 tackles, and two sacks against San Jose State on Saturday. He did this by forcing a fumble and recovering said fumble.
"The young man has put himself in position to make some tremendous plays," USU head coach Gary Andersen said. "To his credit, he's taken advantage of those opportunities to make plays."
Fackrell is a 6-foot-5 outside linebacker out of Arizona. His speed and size has been too much for most opponents to handle, even as a freshman.
He's always been solid this season. But the last two weeks have been special by any estimation.
Against BYU, Fackrell came up with a huge second half interception, putting Utah State in position to tie the game in the fourth quarter. He's played the run and the pass well in Dave Aranda's defensive scheme.
He's putting himself in position to collect some serious hardware in the postseason, as Utah State appears headed for a special year.
