This time it may really be over.

Single mom Emily Maynard and Utah entrepreneur Jef Holm, who met and fell in love on TV's "The Bachelorette," have officially broken off their three-month engagement, according to People magazine.

"I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," Maynard said in a statement to the magazine. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision."

Holm, speaking to People, remained the gentleman: ""Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her."

The made-for-TV fairytale romance was endangered in August, when Us magazine reported that Maynard had been exchanging explicit text messages and photos with another man. Still, the couple appeared together later in August, taking the stage during a Twilight Concert in Salt Lake City's Pioneer Park.
