Before joining rock band Tenth Avenue North, guitarist Jeff Owen played bass in a band that backed Joy Williams, now famous for being half of country-folk sensation The Civil Wars. But while he had a good experience with Williams, Owen said he's ecstatic to be a member of one of the hottest Christian bands in America. In August, the band released its third album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian and rock album charts. "I love being in the studio," Owen said. "It's like painting a picture, starting with a blank canvas." The band is headlining "The Struggle Tour" featuring Audrey Assad and The Rend Collective Experiment opening. It has never performed in Utah before, but has driven through the town before, and recalled stopping at Temple Square to admire the landmark as well as its adherents.
