Streaking down the track at the finish, it was hard to tell Emily Rich was just wrapping up three miles.
Beating the competition by nearly 16 seconds, she was running a race of her own.
"I feel great, just so amazing, it's kind of surreal," Rich said. "I really just opened up in the end. I knew I had to go, and I felt strong enough to do it."
The senior beat out a talented field. Jordan's Tavia Dutson sped in for second place, while Ellie Child from Davis finished third.
