Prosecutors filed charges Wednesday against a Sandy man accused of stealing more than $300,000 from his employers.
The 50-year-old man, who was in charge of the financial accounts for Interwest Supply Co., 330 South Redwood Road, wrote at least 95 checks without authorization, starting in 2008, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court.
The checks were made out to credit card companies, hockey clubs he belonged to, or directly to the employee himself, charges state.
Those checks added up to $371,483 over four years, charges state. He was charged Wednesday with one count of theft by deception, a second-degree felony, and nine counts of forgery, all third-degree felonies.
