Unraveling the lies

Wow, The Salt Lake Tribune endorsed President Barack Obama for re-election. That was no secret, after being bombarded with liberal bias and coverage for the past year. The editorial "Too Many Mitts: Obama has earned another term" (Our View, Oct. 21) sounded like a paraphrased Democratic Party platform, not much of anything new.

However, one item was really a glaring exaggeration: Obama's high point is his foreign policy. Are you kidding?

His foreign policy team sure came clean on the Benghazi, Libya, fiasco — after weeks of pressure from Congress. YouTube video anyone?

By side-stepping the truth (formerly called lying) for several weeks, Obama has thrown Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice and White House spokesman Jay Carney under the bus. I sure wouldn't want to be a U.S. ambassador under this administration and expect backing and protection from Washington.

Thank God for an honest Utah National Guard officer for unraveling the lies.
