More balanced?

What a pleasant surprise to read The Salt Lake Tribune's endorsement of President Barack Obama ("Too Many Mitts: Obama has earned another term," Our View, Oct. 21).

An endorsement of Gov. Mitt Romney and his endless flip-flops, policy shifts and disastrous, detail-bereft tax plan would have been difficult to bear.

I had become quite used to The Tribune's Opinion page endorsements of primarily conservative candidates, regardless of the treatment those candidates received by the editorial board's daily editorials leading up to important elections.

I hope this means a more balanced approach to future endorsements. Way to go, guys!
