A Salt Lake City meat distributor that recalled about 2,3000 pounds of suspected contaminated beef said on Tuesday that all products have been removed from the marketplace.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service on Monday announced the recall because of possible E. coli contamination.

The suspected products, shipped to area restaurants, have been accounted for, said Scott Schmidt, safety coordinator for Main Street Quality Meats.

Names of restaurants receiving the beef were not released. Schmidt said no illnesses have been reported.

Inspectors discovered the bacterium during tests of the meat, but the beef products were shipped out before the company received the test results.
