The next-to-last open house on Salt Lake County's proposed $47 million bond for parks development is set for Thursday from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Sugarhouse Park Garden Center, 1600 E. 2100 South.

County officials will be there to talk about how the bond monies — if approved by voters in the Nov. 6 general election — will be used to complete Parleys Trail, the Jordan River Parkway and regional parks in Magna, Kearns and the valley's southwest and southeast quadrants. Open houses previously were held in those communities.

The final open house is Nov. 1 at the Northwest Recreation Center, 1255 Clark Ave. (300 North).
