Civics Central: Salt Lake County considers budget plan

Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Davis County Commission • Will make an appointment to the Planning Commission; Tuesday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m., Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Salt Lake County Council • Will consider Mayor Peter Corroon's proposed cap in the number of county employees and the proposed 2013 municipal services budget for unincorporated areas; Tuesday, Oct. 30, 1:30 p.m., Room 2003, North Building, County Government Center, 2001 S. West Bountiful City Council • Will discuss proposed updates to the surplus property policy and the city facility use policy; Tuesday, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m., 550 N. 800 West, West Bountiful. View the West Bountiful agenda.

Pleasant Grove City Council • Will hold a public hearing on Nov. 7 at 6:00 p.m. at 86 East 100 South, The hearing will consider the request of Ronald Nordhagen to rezone approximately .24 acres.

Provo City Council • Will consider adding about .119 acres of property near 100 South and 100 West to the surplus property list, authorizing the mayor to dispose of the property. It will also transfer a title to for the ice arena to Provo City/Utah County Ice Sheet Authority; Tuesday, Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m., 351 West Center, Provo.
