A Ramblett man died Friday in a head-on collision in Uintah County.

Roderick Black, 45, was driving south on State Road 88 when his black Hyundai crossed the center lane near mile marker 2, said Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson. He crashed head-on with a three-axel water truck and died at the scene.

The truck driver suffered only minor injuries.

The crash, which occurred at 4:58 p.m., shut down the road for two hours as investigators cleared the scene. Neither speed, alcohol or drugs are suspected to have led to the accident, the cause of which remains unknown, Johnson said.
