Autumn days can be so beautiful they overwhelm the senses. Carl Sandburg put it this way: "I cried over beautiful things knowing no beautiful thing lasts."

That's northern Utah's Tuesday forecast: a partly cloudy morning with low temperatures in the 40s giving way to sunshine and clear afternoon skies as thermometers flirt with 70 degrees.

Southern Utahns, meanwhile, can anticipate shaking off the chill of early morning's mid-40s to bask in high temperatures in the low-80s under clear and sunny horizons.

The atmosphere will do nothing to dampen a glorious autumn day, either. The Utah Division of Air Quality has rated breathability statewide "Green," or healthy.

Salt Lake City looks for a high temperature Tuesday of 71, mirroring Monday's forecast; Ogden expects 67 and 66 degrees, respectively; Provo 72s; Logan 65 and 64; Wendover 67 and 69; Duchesne 63 and 62;Cedar City 72 and 71; St. George 82 and 81; and Moab 71 and 72 degrees.
