Video Game • Hundreds of video games claim to give players the power to choose their own paths. "Dishonored" (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), a first-person game in which the player controls a man wrongly accused of murder, actually delivers on that promise.

As a dishonored guard in a steampunk-stylized universe, you have to find the man who killed the princess you were sworn to protect. During a mission, you can take the stealth approach or go in guns blazing to achieve your goal.

You can decide exactly how you approach the mission with different consequences depending on which tack you take. The graphics seem dated and the ending is somewhat disappointing, but the developers hired a surprising voice cast, including Oscar winner Susan Sarandon. —
