Edgar Allan Poe would love this Utah's Halloween forecast: a partly cloudy, crisp autumn evening under a ghostly silver moon where "traveller meets aghast, sheeted memories of the past , shrouded forms that start and sigh , as they pass the wanderer by."
Trick or treat, Edgar. As diminutive wraiths, zombies and superheroes lurch through the streets collecting candy, they will do so after a day in the low-70s turns to an evening in the mid-40s along the Wasatch Front.
Southern Utah's Halloween harvesters will be ringing door bells after a day with highs in the low-80s and evening low temperatures in the mid-40s.
The Utah Division of Air Quality, meanwhile, has this to tuck away in your bag of climatological goodies: Air Quality statewide will be rated as "Green," or healthy.
Salt Lake City's high Wednesday is pegged at 76, up a few degrees from Tuesday's forecast; Ogden expects 72 and 69 degrees, respectively; Provo 75 and 73; Logan 70 and 68; Wendover 66 and 67; Duchesne 65 and 64; Cedar City 73 and 72; St. George 83 and 82; and Moab 73 and 71 degrees.
