The mystery surrounding the disappearance of an 80-year-old Millcreek man continued Tuesday, while Syracuse police also searched for a missing resident.
Fritz B. Helland last spoke with a relative on Oct. 24, indicating he was about to take his dog, a black-and-tan miniature Doberman pinscher (Minpin), for a walk. Helland has struggled with short-term memory loss but previously had no reported difficulty in finding his way back to his home in the 3400 South block of Plaza Way in Millcreek.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
Meanwhile, Syracuse police were seeking the public's help in locating a man missing for more than a week.
Kenneth Wayne Wallace, 41, walked out of his Syracuse home on Oct. 21 and has not been seen or heard from since. Family members say it is unusual for Wallace to be out of contact for such a long time.
Wallace, who was not believed to have a cellphone with him, is described as a 5-foot-9, 170-pound white man with brown eyes and hair and a goatee. When last seen, he was wearing a black hat, black jacket, jeans, and flip flops. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Syracuse police at 801-825-4400.
