90.9 FM KRCL moves long-time volunteer host..

90.9 FM KRCL has said it has taken feedback from its listeners and is making an adjustment.

Long-time KRCL volunteer host John Florence is moving into a permanent spot on KRCL's daily weekday line-up from 5 to 8 a.m.

World Café, with host David Dye, moves from mornings to evenings at 6 p.m. beginning Monday, November 5."KRCL fans tell us they love hearing John Florence back on the air," says KRCL General Manager Vicki Mann in a press release. "He brings continuity to our loyal listeners and is a radio veteran who will draw in new listeners as well."Florence hosted KRCL's "Saturday Sagebrush Serenade" show from 1994 to 2002.

"I'll ease listeners into the morning with a mix of acoustic rock and Indy songs, new and old. The show will blend a wide range of music—some familiar as well as some great music missing from other radio sources," says Florence in the release"The one thing we heard again and again was that World Café would better if the show aired later in the day," added Mann. The show is not produced locally, which attracted some grumbles.The current live and local daytime hosts will stay the same: Ebay Jamil-Hamilton from 8 to 11 a.m., Eugenie Hero Jaffe from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Bad Brad Wheeler from 2 to 6 p.m.
