When you are out and about, there is nothing worse than suddenly realizing that you have stepped on chewing gum. Or at a restaurant, finding that the bottom of your table is covered in this sticky substance.

Not only is this gum packed with germs, it is flat out disgusting. People need to realize that this habit of throwing gum on the ground or sticking it to things is not OK. It makes people sick, it can be terribly inconvenient and it is littering.

Recently, I visited Lagoon and was unpleasantly surprised at the amount of gum lying around. There are garbage cans on every corner, so why is it so hard to throw gum away?

To all you gum chewers, next time you cannot find a garbage can, please keep your gum in your mouth.
