Larry Krystkowiak put it bluntly when he said his team won't feel any undue pressure to play well early in the season.

"We aren't in a position to do that right now," Krystkowiak said.

While optimism is high following a 6-25 season, The Utes are picked to finish last in the conference, and by a good margin.

Instead of pressure, though, Krystkowiak talks about the culture, a winning culture from the Utes. Creating a winning culture, Kyrstkowiak said, will yield results.

"If we can do that," Krystkowiak said. "We believe that wins and losses will take care of itself."

The Utes begin the exhibition season on Friday at the Huntsman Center against Simon Fraser.
