This weekend on TV: Can Real Salt Lake take down Seattle again?

This is an archived article that was published on sltrib.com in 2012, and information in the article may be outdated. It is provided only for personal research purposes and may not be reprinted.

Real Salt Lake travels to Seattle to take on the Sounders in the first leg of the MLS playoffs (8 p.m., NBCSN) - a rematch of their 2011 playoff series.

For those of you who haven't caught on to the quirks of soccer, this is actually the first half of what amounts to a single match. The score from tonight's game will be added to the score of the Nov. 8 game in Rio Tinto Stadium.

A year ago, RSL won 3-0 at home; Seattle won 2-0 at home; RSL won 3-2 overall and advanced to the West Conference finals.

If the two teams are tied on aggregate after the Nov. 8 game, then we'll head to overtime. If they're still tied after OT, then we'll head to a shootout.
