The summer market season may have ended, but there's still a way to get fresh Utah foods straight from the source thanks two new winter markets that kick off this weekend.

Saturday market • Runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the The Utah State Fair Park, 155 N. 1000 West, Salt Lake City. The market will be held the first and third Saturdays of each month from Nov. 3 through March 16. (No market on Dec. 15 and 29.) Organizers say there will be more than two dozen vendors selling produce, food products, crafts and holiday items including Thanksgiving turkeys, Christmas trees and poinsettias as well as gift baskets. Call 801-538-8400 or visit utahstatefair.com/wintermarket for more details or to be a vendor.

Sunday market • On the first Sunday of every month vendors will be selling produce and other items in the barn at Wheeler Farm, 6351 S. 900 East, Murray. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Sunday, Nov. 4. About 50 venders are expected to attend. For more details visit http://www.wasatchfrontfarmersmarket.org/,
