A worker who died Thursday after falling 30 feet through a skylight atop a Salt Lake City warehouse building has been identified.

Salt Lake City police said Friday the victim was 51-year-old Jose D. Parada.

Fire department spokesman Jasen Asay said emergency responders were called to the scene, at 4521 W. 1980 South, about 7:40 a.m. on Thursday.

Parada, one of several workers who were repairing the roof, suffered severe head injuries, Asay said.
