Provo • The BYU men's basketball team experienced little resistance in its final tuneup before the regular season kicks off.

The Cougars jumped out to a double-digit lead by halftime and cruised to a 90-61 victory over Findlay on Saturday at the Marriott Center.

Four Cougars scored in double figures, led by Tyler Haws' 19 points.

Brandon Davies finished with a double-double after scoring 14 points to go with 13 rebounds. He honored former teammate Chris Collinsworth by wearing Collinsworth's No. 41 during the game.

"He's pretty close to the family, and he thought that this was something that he could do to honor him," BYU coach Dave Rose said.

Injuries forced Collinsworth to stop playing earlier this season. He and Davies were also high school.

The Cougars, who host Tennessee State to open the regular season Friday, outrebounded the Oilers 50-24.
