A tractor-trailer driver died Monday afternoon after losing control of the truck on westbound Interstate 80.

The accident occurred just inside the Salt Lake County line near Tooele County when the driver drove off the right shoulder, which caused the truck to roll, said Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's name was being withheld until family could be notified.

Troopers were investigating what caused the single-vehicle crash.
