Is attendance at Utah State football games a problem?

That was the conversation Monday afternoon as fans discussed the latest turnout at an Aggies home game: 17,222 to watch Utah State blow out Texas State.

There's no doubt the team is good: The Aggies are at eight wins for the first time in 38 years. But there was a variety of different opinions and theories on fan attendance — some saying it was a major issue, and others downplaying it. Fans generally agree next year's move to the Mountain West Conference will fill Romney Stadium a bit more.

It's worth noting that overall, home attendance is up to around 20,000 fans per game, a vast improvement over numbers prior to Gary Andersen's tenure.

This much is for sure: Fans will be keeping an eye out if the stands are full for Senior Day against Idaho in three weeks.
