Milo Greene returns to Kilby Court this weekend

The music of the Californian group Milo Greene harkens back to the gauzy Laurel Canyon folk sound of the 1970s.

They'll make their second visit to Utah after opening for The Civil Wars' May show at The Depot, and the trip will also mark the band's second visit to Kilby Court.

"It's hard to forget that place," said singer and multi-instrumentalist Graham Fink.

The band's rapidly ascending career got a boost when its debut album was released in July. "It's been a pretty fun six months," Fink said.

The downside is that Fink and his bandmates are enduring life criss-crossing the country in a 12-passenger van, while Fink's tour duties include reminding his mates to change their socks on a regular basis.

But the band loved the change from Daylight Savings Time this past weekend: They all received an extra hour of sleep, a godsend for a band on the road again. Bahamas is also on the bill.
