Time to compromise

These expensive and divisive elections are over. The voters have spoken. President Barack Obama was re-elected, as were many senators and representatives who served the past four years.

In the past four years, many members of Congress had one agenda: to make Obama a one-term president. Well, that didn't happen, but in the meantime, Americans suffered.

The charge to members of Congress now is to stop standing on their ideologies and do what is right for America. Reach across the aisles. Compromise. Draft and pass bills that will benefit those of us who do not feel represented.

Stop being "red" or "blue"; be red, white and blue. Make the goal for the next four years to build America to the independent, strong country it has been and can be.
