Judging the judges

At age 75, I have my share of difficulty coming to grips with 21st century technology. My microwave oven still blinks 12:00, but I have learned rudimentary computer skills.
In "No flippin' idea on judges" (Forum, Nov. 8), Joel Jacobson lamented that "it's bad democracy … to expect voters to decide matters on which they have no competence, like knowing whether a judge is doing a good job."
It is too bad more Utahns are not aware of the excellent website vote.utah.gov, which is available to all voters. On it, candidate judges are rated by attorneys and court staff in 20 categories. More information is available on the judge candidates than anyone else on the ballot.
