Campaign billions

Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung is often credited with saying, "That which you resist, persists." Or, as many have said, the more you try to change things, the more they stay the same.

After the big election, it appears we are where we were before the election. No one seems to care that getting to where we started cost billions for campaigning. This is money poured down a rathole that could have made such a difference if it had been spent for education, hunger, aid to Hurricane Sandy victims, etc.

If every candidate is allowed to spend only $10,000 on campaigning, not only would this end the obscene amount of money spent on campaigns, but large corporate contributions would not be able to buy candidates, and many more bright, average citizens might be able to participate as candidates.
