Plight of the rich

Upon watching all the billions of dollars that was contributed to and spent by the super PACS this election season, when I read or hear of the plight of corporations and individuals making more than $250,000 a year, it rings hollow.
Contributing to the public good through slightly higher taxes would certainly be a better use of those funds than the biased and distorted political ads we were recently subjected to.
