Re "GOP's future: Change or die" (Tribune, Nov. 11):

As long as Republican strategists like KellyAnne Conway believe that Democrats are finding black voters in salons or barbershops, we have nothing to worry about. This stereotyping makes me shake my head in disbelief.

But go for it, Republicans. Keep those racist thoughts coming. And while you are at it, don't forget that the Latinos are in nightclubs, Asians in Chinatowns, and lesbians, gays, transexuals and transgenderd persons in those, you know, gay bars.

Maybe Rep. Jason Chaffetz can get our octogenarian senator to write a rap song. That will cool up the party a little bit and attract seniors.

In the meantime, Democrats will continue to connect with voters on college campuses and in corporate offices. The elephant may not be extinct, yet — but it is irrelevant.
