Utah Jazz: Celtics stand in way of second road win

Boston • The Jazz enter Wednesday's game against the Celtics riding a surge of momentum following a triple-overtime 140-133 marathon victory over Toronto on Monday.

However, the Jazz (4-4) still are trying to prove that they can be a good road team, not merely a unit that needs flukes — 3-pointers by Al Jefferson, anyone? — to win away from EnergySolutions Arena. The evidence to that point is slim: Entering the second game of a four-game road trip, the Jazz are 1-4 on the road.

The Celtics (4-3) provide a rare road experience. At TD Garden, the Jazz will play beneath 17 championship banners and a against one of the most successful franchises of the last decade.

Still, Jazz guard Randy Foye isn't buying into all of it.

"Ain't nothing hard about coming here," Foye said. "It's harder coming into EnergySolutions than it is coming in here."

Try telling that to Jefferson.

The Jazz center spent his first three seasons with the Celtics before being traded to Minnesota as part of the Kevin Garnett trade. He won a lot of games in Boston before the trade. But since?

"I'd love to get a win in this building," Jefferson said. "I haven't won since I left."
