Centerpoint Legacy Theatre in Centerville to host "Utah High School Musical Theatre Competition"

Centerpoint Legacy Theatrein Centerville is hosting its "Utah High School Musical Theatre Competition."

At this competition on Feb. 2, one student will be awarded the Pyramid Prize, which is an all-expenses-paid trip to NYC including round-trip airfare, a six-night stay in a Times Square hotel, tickets to Broadway shows, and a full-tuition scholarship to The Open Jar Institute ($1,950 value).

The Open Jar Institute is described as New York City's most Broadway-integrated actor training program, providing select students intensive one-on-one training with some of Broadway's biggest stars, performers, directors, choreographers, agents and casting directors.Here is a link to The Open Jar Institute's website. This will be a valuable time for current high school students to meet and perform for colleges they may want to attend in the future.

Also included on competition day is a free Broadway workshop with Broadway Associate Director and Choreographer Jeff Whiting. There is NO PRICE to sign up and attend.
