I couldn't disagree more with "Liquor licenses: Allow chains a 'master license'" (Our View, Nov. 17).
The effect of a master license will be proliferation of even more chain restaurants at the expense of more unique local restaurants.
Do we really need another Chili's? Or Cheesecake Factory? Why make permits for them easier?
These restaurants, available in every American city, are standardized and bland. Would you prefer them over places like Red Iguana?
In "business-friendly" (and conservative) Utah, we should be letting the market decide which restaurants are the winners and losers, not the government.
