November sweeps update: KUTV-Ch. 2 is crush..

Television's November sweeps don't end until Wednesday, but the local late-news competition is already over.

KUTV is so far ahead in the household numbers the last couple of nights aren't going to matter. Channel 2's 12.7 average rating is a tenth of a rating point more than second-place KSL-Channel 5 and third-place KSTU-Ch. 13 combined.

Keep in mind that these numbers are not complete. And the numbers from earlier this week have not been verified by the ratings services.

But, with two nights left to average in, they give us a very good idea of where the four local TV stations stand in the competition among late-night newscasts.

KUTV-Ch. 2: 12.7 rating (+12 percent over Nov. 2011); 23.4 share (+6 percent); approx. 118,000 homes

KSL-Ch. 5: 6.8 rating (-22 percent); 12.6 share (-26 percent); approx. 63,000 homes

KSTU-Ch. 13: 5.8 rating (+5 percent); 10.1 share (+1 percent); approx. 54,000 homes

KTVX-Ch. 4: 4.3 rating (-10 percent); 7.8 share (-13 percent); approx. 40,000 homes
