ShirLaLa (aka Shira Kline), the award-winning New York Jewish kiddie-rocker, and her band will celebrate the end of Chanukah with the Utah Jewish community on December 15 at Congregation Kol Ami in Salt Lake City.
"ShirLaLa's music is fun for the whole family," explained Liz Paige, Congregation Kol Ami's President-Elect, in a press release. "She combines classic Jewish music with fun new rhythms that get the whole family dancing," said Paige. "My daughter and I are huge fans and we are so excited to have her perform for all of us."Shira Kline will lead Congregation Kol Ami's Friday night services at 6:30 p.m. on December 14, the 7th night of Chanukah. The service will be followed by a song-session of Shabbat and Chanukah songs. On Saturday, the evening will begin at 6 p.m. with Havdallah, the service that ends Shabbat, the lighting of the Chanukah menorah, and a traditional holiday dinner of latkes, soup, salad, and jelly-filled donuts.
ShirLaLa and her band will take the stage at 7 p.m. for a concert of Chanukah music and more.
