Students from Wasatch Elementary School helped Zions Bank trim the Christmas tree in the lobby of its 100 South branch in downtown Salt Lake City this week.

In exchange for lending their decorating talents to hanging hand-made ornaments, the students received a $150 donation for their school.

More than 60 other Utah and Idaho elementary schools will be participating over the next several weeks in Zions 42nd annual "Lights On" celebration, which will see teachers, parents and students gather in the lobbies of the bank's branches to decorate trees, sign carols and enjoy refreshments.

The individual branches hosting the festivities will each make a contribution to the schools that participate in the holiday celebration.
