Police are looking for three suspects involved in a fight that led to a fourth man getting stabbed in the stomach Friday night.

The four were at a house on the 600 block of 3rd Avenue (near 7600 South) in Midvale when the fight broke out about 8:19 p.m., said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. The fight is possibly gang related, he added.

At some point a 43-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach with a steak knife, after which he ran a few doors down and knocked on a neighbor's door asking for help, Hoyal said. The resident called 911 and paramedics transported the man to a local hospital, where he was taken right into surgery.

The suspects don't live at the home where the fight occurred, and investigators are not sure if the victim does either, Hoyal said.

Police expected that the victim would survive.
