Utah Highway Patrol troopers said Jacob C. Jensen was driving south on State Road 202 near the intersection of State Road 201 about 11:45 p.m. when he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway and lost control.

His Jeep Grand Cherokee went off the roadway and rolled one time, partially ejecting his 22-year-old passenger, authorities said.

Joshua J. Wallace, of West Jordan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
