When do "art" and crime intersect?
Apparently, at least according to one Orem man, when a person is discovered with child pornography on his computer.
Orem police said they were called to the 55-year-old's home in October on an unrelated matter when they became suspicious that he might have child pornography on his computers, according to a criminal complaint Monday filed in 4th District Court.
Officers discovered more than 30 images of nude under-age girls, the complaint shows.
When questioned about the images, the man allegedly told police that yes, he possessed them, but said they were "art," as opposed to "pornography," the complaint shows.
The man was charged in 4th District Court with 30 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, all second-degree felonies.
