When it comes to obesity, the United States has been taking a turn for the worse. We can't eliminate obesity for good, but we can help reduce it.

These days, the healthy produce aisle isn't exactly cheap, but at fast food restaurants, you can get a full meal for less than $4. How can we fight obesity if low-income people can buy unhealthy fast foods more cheaply than healthy produce?

We can help this problem by making food stamps twice as valuable for fresh produce, grains and "clean" foods.
