Weber State basketball: Kyle Tresnak earns Big Sky honor

Weber State center Kyle Tresnak averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two victories last week and was selected the Big Sky Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.

The 6-foot-10 junior from Scottsdale, Ariz., led the Wildcats (4-2) to victories against Utah Valley and UC Irvine. Tresnak shot 65 percent from the floor, was perfect from the free-throw line while averaging two blocks and one steal per game.

Tresnak scored 20 points with a season-high nine rebounds against Utah Valley on Dec. 5. In a 65-51 win over UC Irvine on Saturday, Tresnak scored 16 points with six rebounds.

WSU host BYU on Saturday at 7 p.m.
