Utah State coach Gary Andersen previously said that USU's success this season will make his assistant coaches hot targets from other schools.
We have seen that in the last few days.
This week, offensive coordinator Matt Wells turned down a job offer from North Carolina State University.
Today, running backs coach Mike Sanford accepted the head coaching job at Indiana State University.
Sanford is the previous offensive coordinator at Utah, the driving force behind the Utes spread offense that went to a BCS Bowl in 2004.
He moved on to become the head coach at UNLV, before coming to Logan.
In his first year at Utah State, Sanford oversaw a running game that produced Kerwynn Williams. Also, Joe Hill showed plenty of talent in limited carries, and people like Kelvin Lee have developed as younger players.
Sanford will coach his last game at Utah State on Saturday at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
