Every year since 2002, Tribune readers have helped us produce our New Year's Day Opinion section by providing us a list of Dream Headlines, titles to news articles you would like to see in the coming year. We invite you to do so once again. Your headline(s) can touch on world and national events, Utah news, celebrities, entertainment, sports, you name it. They can be hopeful or silly, practical or idealistic.

Some of our favorites from last year included, "Rising Atlantic swallows Limbaugh compound," "Buttars called on mission to Angola," "Cougars accept inaugural Gay Pride Bowl invite!" and "Sloan clone deemed viable, will coach Jazz to 2059."

Remember, headlines are short, usually no more than six or seven words, yet they convey the gist of a big idea.

Send your Dream Headlines to: Public Forum, The Salt Lake Tribune, 90 S. 400 West, Suite 700, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. E-mail: letters@sltrib.com (no attachments, please). Fax: 801-257-8525. To be considered for our New Year's Day list, we need to have your headlines in by Thursday, Dec. 27, at the latest.

Here's to a happy new year!
