Time is running out to vote for City Dogs as the Best Vegan Food Truck in the country. Fans have until 1 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 17, to cast their ballot at peta2.com

The Salt Lake City cart is one of four finalists in the Best Vegan Food Truck category along with trucks from Los Angeles, Austin and Chicago. Winners will be chosen based on several factors, including the public vote.

Best Vegan Food Truck is just one of 22 Libby Awards — short for animal liberation — that will be given out by peta2, the youth division of PETA — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Other categories include best vegan snack and best dairy alternative.

The committee that selected City Dog praised the cart's chili cheese Dee Dog as well as the signature City Dog, topped with jalapeƱos, tomatoes, and pickled asparagus.
