Plans for tonight: Elementary, my dear Sherlock

• Plan-B Theatre's production of the radio play "Sherlock Holmes and the Blue Carbuncle," starring KUER's Doug Fabrizio as Holmes and X96's Bill Allred as Watson, will be performed at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. 300 South, Salt Lake City. Performances are at 7 and 8:30 p.m. — with the early show broadcast live on KUER (90.1 FM). Tickets, from $10 to $20, available at ArtTix.

• A screening of the documentary "Detroit Wild City," which looks at the history and future of the industrial city, happens at the City Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. Eric Shaw, director of Salt Lake City's Department of Community and Economic Development, will talk after the screening. Show starts at 7. Free.

• Musician Dweezil Zappa performs the music of his father, the legendary composer/rocker Frank Zappa, at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $25, at Smith's Tix.
