Utah's Skullcandy launches high school sponsorship program

Skullcandy Inc., the Park City-based company known for its stylish headphones, ear buds and other audio products, has launched a sponsorship program supporting select high schools and their boys and girls basketball teams.

The company said has relationships with Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va. and Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, and will secure several other schools nationally in the coming weeks.

In addition, Skullcandy said it will sponsor the Nike Extravaganza basketball tournament, staged annually at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif.

Skullcandy holds the license to produce NBA-branded products and has long-term endorsement agreements with NBA stars Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Andre Iguodala.
