Three days after the tragedy in Connecticut, I was struck by a sentence in Jim Harrison's novel Legends of the Fall: "Nothing is quite so grotesque as the meeting of a child and a bullet."
As an expert rifleman, I am embarrassed and appalled. It is long past time for some more sensible gun laws in this modern age of advanced weaponry.
Let's protect the children.
