North Logan police and Cache County sheriff's deputies cordoned off an area of 1600 North and Main Street late Wednesday morning after a suspicious package was found near a business there.
A sheriff's dispatcher confirmed that the package was reported about 10 a.m. By noon, though, bomb experts using an X-ray scanner had determined the package was nothing more than a piece of luggage containing clothes.
The package was spotted near, but not on the property of a Walmart store.
