New Utah State football coach Matt Wells is keeping at least one familiar face around, the school announced this afternoon.

Frank Maile, Aggies' defensive line coach for the past two seasons, will stay on staff.

Maile, who played for Utah State, has been coaching in the program for the last five years. Most recently, he helped the Aggies garner a No. 8 national ranking in sacks and a No. 12 ranking in rushing defense.

Under his leadership, three players — Al Lapuaho, Jordan Nielsen and Connor Williams — made the all WAC teams. He also played a part in one of the defense's signature performances in 2012: a school record 13 sacks against San Jose State.

Maile will continue to coach the defensive line. Wells has yet to announce who will take over as offensive, defensive or recruiting coordinator.
